Breaking the barriers to data access.
DegreeData’s mission is to continuously build and maintain a national source of course and program data that supports learners, employers and college administrators. We mine content from academic catalogs to provide the necessary data for systems development, articulation, workforce preparedness and research. By breaking down barriers to access and providing pure data-as-a-service, DegreeData supports:

From leadership to data mining, DegreeData is a group of people who are experienced in helping students and job seekers achieve their goals. Our US-based team is comprised of dedicated individuals with a background in higher education and human resources. In fact, some members of the team still work at colleges and contribute to DegreeData part-time. If you have a background in records and registration or hiring, we’re always looking.

Our team of brilliant researchers come from backgrounds in US higher education, including registration, enrollment and veterans’ services. They dig deep to find publications, policies and curriculum information that AI alone can’t discover.
Employing AI and machine learning for a business does not exist in a vacuum. Our team of developers continually innovates to find the most accurate and automated approaches to deliver data products at scale, and at cost.

It takes a lot of technology to create the national database of academic information, but just as important is subject matter expertise. Unlike other solutions that provide software and tech alone, the DegreeData team brings the know-how that can only be acquired through working for institutions, HR and military educational requirements.

Anne has spent 20 years serving the higher education sector through software and technology development. In 1996, she founded SmartCatalog, the first curriculum management system. While building that company, she recognized that, with one exception, there was no national data repository for college curriculum and course data. In 2008, she founded DegreeData to fill that need.
Like many transfer students, Anne experienced and expensive and opaque loss of course credits early in her education. She was determined to build a system which supports rewarding learners for their complete academic trajectory, whether a certificate, program or non-traditional experience. DegreeDaa is the result of that vision.
During her career Anne has worked with hundreds of colleges; is an active member of the Postsecondary Electronic Standards Council (PESC) and has been a longtime member, exhibitor and presenter at industry associations.
A single resource for academic information from a team who are uniquely qualitifed to deliver accurate data from US institutions of higher education.
